Macy
Species: Human
Family: unknown
Appearance(s): Committed
Background: Macy was a jeweler who helped many happy couples pick out engagement rings. After his wife cheated on him, he killed her, then began abducting engaged couples and subjecting them to lie detector tests while hooked up to electricity. If one person lied, the other was shocked, proving his point that "lies hurt the ones you love." The tests were to ensure the couple was meant to be together, something Macy wishes someone had done for him and his wife. One such couple he abducted was Chloe Sullivan and James "Jimmy" Olsen, shortly following their engagement party. They eventually passed the test, becoming the only couple to do so, and were returned home. However, while trying to find their friends, Lois Lane and Clark Kent posed as a couple shopping for an engagement ring, and Macy was so convinced that he kidnapped Lois shortly after letting Chloe and Jimmy go. After talking to the couple, who remembered something the kidnapper said, Clark realized Macy was the kidnapper, and tracked him down. Though, before Clark could rescue Lois, he was weakened by Macy's kryptonite bracelet, and knocked out. When he awakened, he found himself chained to a chair and strapped to Macy's lie detector. As with Chloe and Jimmy, Macy subjected Lois and Clark to his tests, forcing Lois to admit she loved Clark deep down (though she later told Clark she had managed to slip the sensor off her finger). Before Macy could get Clark to admit the same, Clark removed the kryptonite bracelet and threw it down a drain. Fully restored, Clark hit some steam pipes with bursts of heat vision, steaming up the room enough for Clark to defeat Macy without Lois seeing. Macy was turned over to the authorities, and later confessed to kidnapping five couples in all.

Appearance(s): Legion
Background: Garth Ranzz, a.k.a. Lightning Lad, is one of three founding members of the Legion of Superheroes, a group in the 31st century that took their inspiration from Clark Kent, a.k.a. Superman. Garth is originally from "a hunk of mud called Winath", and possesses the ability to generate and manipulate electricity. When the Persuader stole a ring from the Legion, Garth and fellow Legion members Rokk Krinn and Imra Ardeen followed him to the 21st century. There, Garth knocked the Persuader out with his lightning, before the Persuader was sent back to the future.

The Persuader
Species: Human
Family: unknown
Appearance(s): Legion
Background: The Persuader is a terrorist from the 31st century who belongs to the Human Supremacist Movement, a xenophobic group whose members fanatically oppose the notion of living in peace with aliens. He carries an atomic axe that is powerful enough to split an atom or injure a Kryptonian. Using a ring he stole from the Legion of Superheroes, he arrived in the 21st century and immediately destroyed a crystal that could be used to capture Brainiac without damaging the host. He then attacked Clark Kent with lethal intent, and seriously injured him with his axe. However, before he could kill Clark, thereby keeping aliens from migrating to Earth, the Legion arrived and used their collective abilities to stop him and send him back to the future.

After Detective John Jones was shot while on the job, reporter Clark Kent discovered it was an inside job and went undercover as Dan's new partner, Joe Fordman, in order to find the culprit. After Clark helped Dan capture a thief coming out of a pharmacy, Dan invited "Fordman" to a barbecue at his house, where Clark met Dan's family and coworkers.

Carter Bowfry
Species: Human
Family: unknown
Appearance(s): Power
Background: Carter Bowfry is Tess Mercer's strategic advisor. Before working for Tess, Carter trained Green Berets and Navy SEALS "to withstand extreme pain and torture." (Power). When Lana Lang came to him in Edge City for help, he intially dismissed her, believing she was looking for "girl power." After some convincing, he finally agreed to train her, which included submerging her in a tub of ice water and forcing her to burn her arms on a hot piece of metal. She eventually left him to pursue more power, but not before he gave her a phoenix medallion, identical to the one he wears as his symbol. He eventually tracked her down in Metropolis, where she was investigating LuthorCorp. He saw her as his chance of redemption for all the death and destruction he'd been responsible for, so he joined her cause, got a job working for Tess, and began feeding Lana information on LuthorCorp. When Lana later went missing, Clark Kent confronted him, having been led straight to him through a combination of Lana's medallion and information from Tess. Carter then told Clark how Lana came to him for help and how he trained her, before informing Clark that Lana also talked with Chloe Sullivan while she stayed in Metropolis.
